Students will receive weekly lessons in our studio. A positive and enthusiastic environment will be provided with a curriculum tailored to the goals of each student. An emphasis on proper technique, sight reading, ear training, and theory will be included and adhere to the standards set forth by the Music Teachers' Association of California's Certificate of Merit. Students will be encouraged but not required to improvise and compose their own music, perform in recitals, competitions and participate in the Certificate of Merit program.
Tuition provides a weekly lesson throughout the entire year. The lesson duration will vary according to the students level and goals. Lessons will be 30 minutes for beginners, 45 minutes for intermediate, and one hour for advanced levels. If a student is participating in Certificate of Merit or the other competitive events, extended or extra lessons may be required. The yearly schedule will include holidays and breaks. The calendar will be published here on the website. Students who continue in the Summer Session will have priority in keeping their time and day or selecting an open time or day available in the fall schedule.
Yes! We can discuss the proper setup (Zoom, Device, External Mic) for an optimal experience.
Please arrive on time with your books and music, fingernails trimmed, and hands washed. Parents may stay and watch or leave and return. Be sure to return in time to greet the dismissed student. If a student is disruptive, disrespectful or has demonstrated a lack of practice the lesson will end early. If the student continues to exhibit these behaviors lessons will be terminated.
When a student is enrolled in the studio, they are reserving their place in the schedule with the intent to continue private study throughout the entire year. Attendance and practice is vital to a successful journey into the mastery of any musical instrument. Students may terminate lessons at any time but no refund will be given for the remaining lessons in the given month. Students who register and participate in the summer will maintain and have priority in the fall schedule. No credits or make-ups will be given for missed lessons.
There are no credits or make-ups for missed lessons. You are reserving a weekly time in the studio schedule. Lessons due to illness, travel, and conflicts due to other activities or obligations cannot made up, credited, transferred or refunded. If for some reason I am absent or am not available for a lesson outside of the holiday schedule, I will offer a credit on the next monthly invoice. If you wish to switch your regular lesson day or time due to a personal scheduling conflict, there are no guarantees but I will do my best to accommodate the change in the studio schedule.
Students will receive a monthly email invoice for payment. Acceptable forms of payment are ACH transfers or Credit/Debit via Stripe to Goral Music LLC, Auto Bill Pay from your financial institution, Check or Cash. If paying by Check or Cash, please have the payment ready at the first lesson of the month. A late fee of $25 will be included to payments not received by the 7th day of the month. Detailed information will be provided in the monthly invoice.
We will determine the goals and appropriate length of daily practice after an evaluation at the initial lesson.
Please give us at least two weeks notice that you will not be continuing lessons. Once notice is given, you not obligated to complete the following sessions left in the month.
