Student Resources & Opportunities
- Certificate of Merit – Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC)
A statewide program recognizing student progress in performance, theory, ear training, and technique. Students prepare a repertoire and take a written exam, earning certificates and performance opportunities.
- Southern California Junior Bach Festival
An annual event for students to perform works by J.S. Bach and receive feedback from experienced adjudicators. San Diego branch event takes place in March of each year.
- MTAC Composers Today
A unique program for students interested in creating and sharing their own music, with opportunities for feedback, workshops, and having original works performed at MTAC events.
Competitions & Festivals
